My thoughts – Before I start with my thoughts on this Manga, let me tell you beforehand, I knew about the ending right from the beginning. To be honest the ending was what made me think “I need to read this Manga”. So there are chances that my review is biased. Deal with it okay. 🙂

Okay so how do I put it, I don’t know if words will do justice expressing my feeling for this Manga. To me, ‘Hirunaka no Ryuusei’ was probably one the most wonderful Manga I’ve come across till now. It was not just another typical shoujo Manga with full of cliche stuffs, rather it was matured and more realistic. The way every single pages of this Manga touched the deepest parts of my heart, the way it made me cry over fictional characters, I don’t remember when was the last time I felt like this while reading a Manga online.

The name of the Manga ‘Hirunaka No Ryuusei’, which means daytime shooting start, itself had a lot of meaning in the Manga. Suzume Yosano, the main female character of the Manga was an adorable brave girl, who moved to Tokyo from the countryside. With the passing of time she fell in love with her homeroom teacher Shishio. To Suzume, Shishio was like a daytime shooting star. The whole ‘falling in love for the first time’ thing was so beautifully executed that it still aches my heart. The story may not seem anything extraordinary, main girl falling in love with the main guy, what was so different about it? The ans is, it was the beautiful execution of the plot. It was a story that made readers realize that it’s okay to move on in life and find new love.

Hakushaku To Yousei (Earl & Fairy) Review

Name – Hakushaku To Yousei (Earl & Fairy)
Episodes: 12
Status: Complete
Genres: Fantasy, Romance, Shoujo.
Rating: PG-13

Story – The story, set in Victorian Britain, follows the adventures of 17-year-old Lydia Carlton, nicknamed the “Fairy Doctor” due to her interest and understanding of fairies. Her life takes a 180-degree turn when she meets Edgar J.C Ashenbert, the “Legendary Blue Knight Earl” and his crew on a sea voyage to London. Edgar hires her as an adviser during his quest to obtain a treasured sword that was supposed to be handed down to him by his family. *Source Wiki

My Review – I enjoyed this show despite it’s flaws & cliches. The story was interesting in my opinion. Edgar’s tragic past & his never ending desire for revenge, sudden re-appearances of his old enemies and the bitter sweet relationship between Lydia & Edgar; all these things kept the story going. But the story lacked the depth that was expected & needed. Moreover it seemed a little bit rushed sometimes. However these negative sides didn’t stop me from enjoying this show. 😛

10 - 003x3

My thoughts – Author Takano ichigo did a great job with this Manga. It was short but covered lots of emotional/serious issues like first love, friendship, regret, sacrifice, depression, suicide and much more. Though its premise may not seem extraordinary at first glance, the execution of the story was mind blowing. Once you start reading the manga you won’t be able to stop, the urge to know what’s gonna happened at the end will keep you engaged.

12 - 035x

The story compelled me to start reading this. Everyone has something in their life that they wish they could change. If I had the chance to change some of the decisions I made in my life, how would I react to this? Would I rewrite those moment completely? And If I did … how would that effect my present life? All those thoughts were lingering on my mind while reading the Manga. And that was the most interesting part of the story. It will give you a bittersweet feeling. Some moments will make move you to tears, and some moments will put a smile on your face.

First thought on ‘Tsubaki-Chou Lonely Planet’

“Manga Review – Tsubaki-chou Lone Planet”

Tsubaki Chou Lonely Planet

Name – Tsubaki Chou Lonely Planet
Author & Artist
– Yamamori Mika

Genre – Comedy, Romance, Drama, School Life, Shoujo, Slice Of Life
Status – Ongoing

Summary Of Story – Ohno Fumi is the main female lead, who is a poor 2nd year high school student. Due to her father’s debts, she’s kicked out of her own home and having no other options left, she starts living with a young writer named Akatsuki Kibikino.

My Thoughts

Girl ends up staying under the same roof with the boy, what’s so interesting about the story? The answer is ‘Yamamori Mika‘. If you have read her previous works you know what an amazing Mangaka she is! Even though the plot of the Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet is nothing extraordinary, her way of executing the story is what makes the Manga worth reading. Simple, sweet and emotional; this Manga has become my recent favorite. Only a few chapters are out till now so nothing can be said about the progress of the story, but I’m quite sure that it’s only going to get better. 🙂

The characters were perfect for a shoujo Manga. I’m in loove with Sensei right now. (Akatsuki Kibikino) I guess I have a thing for guys with long hair. 😛 Besides his good looks I just loved how he was soo protective and caring towards Fumi-chan. ❤

As a female protagonist, Fumi was cute and adorable. I liked the fact that even though she was naive and quite young, she was a hardworking person and didn’t prefer to rely on others to survive. I hope I get to see satisfactory character development of these characters throughout the series.
