My Thoughts

Girl ends up staying under the same roof with the boy, what’s so interesting about the story? The answer is ‘Yamamori Mika‘. If you have read her previous works you know what an amazing Mangaka she is! Even though the plot of the Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet is nothing extraordinary, her way of executing the story is what makes the Manga worth reading. Simple, sweet and emotional; this Manga has become my recent favorite. Only a few chapters are out till now so nothing can be said about the progress of the story, but I’m quite sure that it’s only going to get better. 🙂

The characters were perfect for a shoujo Manga. I’m in loove with Sensei right now. (Akatsuki Kibikino) I guess I have a thing for guys with long hair. 😛 Besides his good looks I just loved how he was soo protective and caring towards Fumi-chan. ❤

As a female protagonist, Fumi was cute and adorable. I liked the fact that even though she was naive and quite young, she was a hardworking person and didn’t prefer to rely on others to survive. I hope I get to see satisfactory character development of these characters throughout the series.

The most attractive part was the artwork, it was just beautiful … like literally beautiful! ❤ Well I didn’t expect anything less from the Mangaka Yamamori Mika anyway. 😛 The character details, the facial expressions, backgrounds everything were mesmerizing. Subtle, clean & soothing. The art itself can create an emotional turmoil in your heart.

My Ratings (First thoughts)

 Characters - 8.5/10
Enjoyment - 9/10

Overall - 8.5/10
